nora's first piano recital

The first song was entitled "Men from Mars" and the second was "Hey, Mr.half dot note!"

We were all cheering for her and so proud. Afterwards she said to me "Mom, I had little butterflies in my tummy!"

Great job NORA!

Chocolate Chip Cookies!

I made the best chocolate chip cookies this afternoon. Oh they started with little balls of gooey dough and turned into wonderful circles of moist, chewy, chocolatey, goodness!! My kids think I am the best chocolate cookie maker in the whole world. Enjoy!

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween to everyone! We had a great time carving the pumpkin and Mike did a great job on our Jack -O- lantern.
Maggie and Nora had fun trick or treating in lakeside with our friends Johnny, Madison, Morgan and Meaghan. Thanks to Jay and Kathy for a really fun night.
Mike and I went to a costume party on Saturday night. I was an awesome Geisha girl and Mike was " Super Scott"!

Daisy and Mimzy! Daisy is our black lab and Mimzy is our new little kitten. When Daisy first met Daisy, she started to drool thinking a little kitten would be the best snack ever. They are now best of buddies!

Last weekend was my Mom's birthday. Happy birthday MOM! The kids and I headed up to the lake for the weekend to celebrate. We had an awesome lobster dinner and awesome chocolate cake! Nora and Maggie got to go swimming at the lodge with their cousins Claire and Hugh!! Thanks Claire and Hugh for the great swimming lessons! Maggie now can swim like a dolphin!!

Since I'm so new at all this blogging stuff, I thought I would catch up a little and review our past summer and early fall activities! This summer we took a few great camping trips and spent some awesome time up at my Mom and Dad's. Great times and lots of great memories in our little "marshmallow" camper!! We camped up in Gooseberry State Park, Grand Marais and also Whiteface Resevoir National Campground. What a great summer. Nora and Maggie also had birthdays this summer 7th and 5th respectively and have started school. Nora is now in 2nd grade and Maggie is a kindergartner. I can't believe my little girls are soo big.
